Elisandro "Eli" Ruiz Cantu of Prosser WA entered into rest on 10/30/2021 at Kadlec Reginal Medical Center in Richland WA. He was born in LaFeria Texas, on January 4th 1949. He has lived in Prosser for the last 23 years. Eli and Amparo were married July 29th,1993, in Prosser WA. Eli worked in the farming industry. Eli, enjoyed cars and spending time with family, grilling and listening to Tejano music. If you saw him around, he was likely in all black dressed either as a cowboy with his Tejana or Levi's and Dallas Cowboys Beanie. Eli was a very strong, kind and patient man. His contagious smile will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Amparo Cantu; son, Ernesto Cruz; daughter, Elisa Cantu and Emily Cantu; brothers, Crisanto Cantu and Raul Cantu; sisters, San Juanita Villarreal, Ruby Cantu and Corina Mireles; grandson, Eli Cruz; and son-in-law, Alexandro Barocio. Viewing will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Thursday October 4th from 4PM to 7 PM, with the Rosary being recited at 6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday November 5th,2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser WA, burial following at Prosser Cemetery..
